Will Trump Survive Trumpism?

Will Trump Survive Trumpism

Do you remember what it’s like when you purchase a new car, and months later the “new car” smell begins to wear off? You start noticing smells like gasoline or the cool ranch Doritos sitting on your floorboard?

I will never forget the emotions that ran through my mind on the night Donald J. Trump was elected as the 45th President of the United States. It was like a scene from a medieval movie where thousands of knights on horseback charge a castle occupied by a foreign enemy.

We listened to the media tell us that he had no chance. Clinton would win by a landslide, and the GOP would crumble and come to an end. Senate and House Republicans would have to scramble to figure out a different strategy in order to survive the loss. We all know what happened that night, and there is no reason for me to elaborate any further on Trump’s victory. In fact, I believe we have over-celebrated.

Not even a year into the Trump presidency, we have witnessed significant losses. The Virginia gubernatorial race proved to be an upset. We all played it down though. The governor’s seat was already occupied by a Democrat, and it’s Virginia. Big deal. Right?

This past Tuesday should be the “slap in the face” for all of us. Roy Moore. Alabama. Do you understand what this means for Donald Trump? Or what it means for the MAGA movement? Maybe it is time to stop tweeting memes of the “Trump Train”. A cowboy conservative lost to a Cultural Marxist in Alabama. This victory for the left is not what we needed. If you think they are unified and vigilant, wait and see what they are capable of now.

Alabama, the heart of Dixie and the darkest red state in the country, now is sending a radical leftist to Washington. This was a pure repudiation of the Trump presidency. One must assume that the political assassination perpetuated by the Washington Post helped Doug Jones win this race, but it is time to re-evaluate the strategy. There are a few things that I think we need to come to grips with.

1. Trumpism and Bannonism aren’t Working

I am sure that I will lose a few “muh freedom” followers from this article, but we must be honest with ourselves and each other. The Religious Right is becoming more irrelevant every election cycle. The younger generations are not voting Biblically as the older generations have for decades. In fact, the country is becoming less Christian every single year. You can blame this on open border immigration policies and diversity.

2. Civic Nationalism is Failing

Donald Trump created many different movements during his campaign. The Alt Lite is one of those movements. The idea that any and everybody can come into our country as long as they “assimilate” is laughable, to say the least. People are not going to just give up their culture. They are coming for first world income and bringing their third world mentality. They are creating their enclaves while reaping the benefits that you and I have worked so hard to create.

3. The GOP are not Our Allies

I keep hearing people say that “we have a majority in the House and the Senate”. No, actually we do not. The establishment is the swamp, and it doesn’t matter whether they have a (R) or (D). Trump is standing alone, and the majority of Republicans are whispering behind his back. If the GOP were working with Trump, Obamacare would have been repealed on the first try, DACA would have been slashed, the borders would have been sealed, the travel ban would be in place, and funding for the wall would be on the end-of-the-year spending bill. Get that in your head.

4. Identity Politics Works

The left has been very successful utilizing identity politics. They understand that marginalizing different groups of people works when it is necessary. We are told over and over that it is NOT okay to be white. White Americans must give up our identity and culture for the sake of diversity and multiculturalism. We are the only people on earth that have fallen for this great manipulation. If we can get past the fear of being called Nazis and racist, we could be a force to reckon with. White unity could be the driving force to truly take our country back.

It is apparent that the spirit of last November is fading away. I have had much frustration with Donald Trump, and we must call him on these frustrations. His obsession with “sports ball” is something that turned me off. Who cares about a bunch of overpaid athletes? I know I don’t. They are irrelevant, but Trump was determined to launch a Twitter war with the left on this issue. To be honest, I am sick of the immature tweeting. It was funny at first, but now it is nothing more than a distraction.

He has the power to make real change. His ego is something that I was concerned with from the beginning. All “alpha males” deal with ego problems, and I am not bringing this up as a serious insult. My concern is that Trump will bend in order to receive approval from the opposition. We have seen this with him backing down on the deportation of ALL illegal aliens and him allowing Congress to write a response bill to DACA.

I am positive that some MAGA fanatics will probably click unfollow, but we MUST admit where the problems are. Roy Moore losing in Alabama is a serious problem. It is a serious problem for Steve Bannon and a serious problem for the Trump administration. If Bannon cannot pull a win off in Alabama, where can he? Moore was the perfect civic nationalist candidate. He was the ‘good ole boy’. For God’s sake, he pulled a pistol out of his pocket while sporting a cowboy hat on stage at a campaign rally.

I still have faith in Donald J. Trump. Hopefully, you will understand the points I am trying to get across, but something isn’t working. We cannot win the midterms in 2018, or the general election in 2020 riding off the fumes of 2016. It will never happen. We will suffer major losses in both elections if we don’t understand where the faults are.

I decided a year ago that it was time for me to do something. I had sat back long enough. I was so tired of seeing the corporate media running down the right in their reporting. I was fed up with their tasteless reporting on Donald J. Trump. It does not matter if you are a conservative, libertarian, liberal, or Alt Right. Every single American should have the right and freedom to express themselves however they see fit. The right has been under attack for decades. The radical left has taken over the media and the halls of Washington. It is time for us to stand up and say enough is enough. Thank you for reading my first article on Danny’s website. I am honored to have been asked to guest write on his site. More articles will be coming and I hope that you all will go follow me on Twitter, Medium, and Gab.

  1. I definitely agree that bannonism is out and the right should distance itself from him. I’m not sure about trumpism,, maybe you could elaborate more on your definition of it and why exactly you don’t think it’s successful. Great article though !
