The war is on between President Trump and his arch-nemesis, Rep. Adam Schiff. On Saturday, Trump tweeted that the Democratic counter-memo confirms only “all of the terrible things that were done.”

The Democrat memo response on government surveillance abuses is a total political and legal BUST. Just confirms all of the terrible things that were done. SO ILLEGAL!

Naturally, that tweet induced Schiff’s counter-tweet. But Trump went further. He made a surprise appearance on Fox News Channel’s “Justice with Judge Jeanine,” on Saturday evening. He raked Schiff, and labeled him a “bad guy” for leaving meetings and calling reporters with stories (leaks).

Whether you are for or against Schiff’s behavior towards Trump, that is precisely what he has been doing. Trump told Judge Jeanine, “You are not supposed to do that. It’s probably illegal to do it.”

Schiff has indeed been leaking details from supposedly private meetings. But Trump told Pirro that the memo only serves to bolster his case against the Democrats.

The President said, “It was nothing but a confirmation. A lot of bad things happened on the other side, not on this side.”

The President went on to blame the FBI and DOJ’s handling of the situation. As he put it, they were “really fraudulent and somebody should be looking into that.” Republican Rep. Devin Nunes called his role in bringing the original memo to the public’s attention something he was “greatly honored” to be a part of.

It appears that Schiff is more interested in simply resisting than resisting with any substance. He continues to scream Russian influence with the Republicans and Trump, yet no hard evidence of any wrongdoing has been discovered in 18 months of intense investigation.

Is it time to gag politicians like Schiff, who have clearly made this riff personal? White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders certainly believes so. The questions raised by the GOP memo cover the use of partisan opposition research from one candidate as the basis for asking a federal court to approve surveillance of a former associate of a rival candidate.

Is that not a fact now? Is it not in black and white for all to see? Will any political spin change the words on the memo? Sanders rightfully points out that the memo is “politically driven.”

Are the American people fed up with this endless probe? Have they come to the realization that it may all be a political vendetta against Donald Trump, who miraculously beat Clinton for President…despite blatant DNC corruption?

Has the time come to move on to more pressing matters concerning the business of our Republic?
