Update: Leon County law enforcement told the Tallahassee Democrat that they haven’t found a single connection linking Cruz to the Republic of Florida militia. After having his claims disproven, Jereb has since walked back his comments stating that he made a “mistake,” and that miscommunication was to blame for his false statements to the ADL and SPLC.
Yesterday, 19-year-old Nikolas Cruz walked into Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School with an AR-15, and went on a senseless killing spree, killing 16 students and 1 teacher, and wounding many more. He was later arrested without incident, in nearby Coral Springs, Florida.
The talking heads and echo chambers were quick to falsely label him either a Trump supporter, Antifa or a Dreamer, depending on their political motivations.
The truth is, Cruz is a registered Democrat in the State of Florida, much to the chagrin of the “tolerant” Left. Once again, the constituents of the very party calling for gun bans are proving why we need armed teachers in our schools. Somewhere, there are liberal Commies foaming at the mouth, and, for once, it isn’t just because they’ve run out of heroin.
Meanwhile, Breitbart went so far as to publish a controversial video taken by a student’s cellphone during the shootout. While parents were still wondering if their kids were safe, the once-respectable news mag was capitalizing on the tragedy for clicks.
I bet Andrew Breitbart is rolling in his grave watching what his flagship has become: clickwhores. Breitbart was a great man, whom I respect and admire a great deal. It pains me to see them tarnishing his namesake.
As reported by ABC, we have been told that Cruz was supposedly part of a white supremacist group, known as the Republic of Florida. This information was initially provided to the ADL and SPLC, both notoriously biased watchdogs. Investigators have not coorroborated this claim, but the information has since been confirmed by the group’s leader, Jordan Jereb, who told AP that he didn’t know Nikolas Cruz personally and that “he acted on his own behalf of what he just did and he’s solely responsible for what he just did.”
Florida Democrat Senator Bill Nelson used a moment of silence on the Senate floor to mourn the victims as an opportunity to use the events as ammo (pun intended) for gun control legislation, by urging the US Senate to enact stricter gun control. While the Senate was honoring the victims, Nelson chose to hop on what he saw as the perfect chance to attack the 2nd Amendment, by whipping up some fake tears and asking, “When is enough going to be enough?”
Only hours after the shooting, liberals and elected Democrats were callously using the lives lost to call for more gun control. The Left never lets a good tragedy go to waste. Lately, defending the Second Amendment has me feeling like John Wick.
